Biography
Dylan Prior serves as coverage and litigation counsel for domestic and international insurers. He focuses his practice on representing government contractors and their insurers before the United States Department of Labor’s judicial and administrative tribunals in defense of claims brought by employees working overseas at American military bases. These claims arise under the Defense Base Act extension of the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.
Dylan previously practiced insurance coverage at a Long Island, New York law firm, where he litigated and handled a variety of claims.
As a member of the Consumer Justice for the Elderly Litigation Clinic at St. John’s University School of Law, Dylan co-authored a successful amicus brief for the Second Circuit concerning unjust debt collection practices under New York’s Exempt Income Protection Act, represented elderly clients in ongoing court proceedings regarding unlawfully transferred mortgages and coordinated with the Queens County District Attorney in forged rental agreement investigations.
