Cyber Coverage
Our Cyber Coverage attorneys have extensive experience representing domestic and international insurers in assessing liability under first- and third-party cyber insurance and serving as coverage counsel. From the earliest days of financial institution computer crime policies, our attorneys have assisted insurers in responding to claims and drafting insurance policies and endorsements to address the evolving risks presented by technological progress. We closely follow changing laws and other developments that affect privacy, technology and data security so we can provide our clients with the sophisticated counsel they need to anticipate, assess and respond to new threats and potential losses.

Our cyber and technology legal experience also extends to the drafting and negotiation of technology contracts and Service Level Agreements and related licensing. Our attorneys work with clients to develop strategies to manage cyber and technological legal risks, including in litigation arising from these issues. We also have broad experience in intellectual property law, including copyright, trademark and trade secret issues ranging from the Lanham Act to celebrity marketing tie-ins.

- First party claims for data breach remediation, data restoration, business email compromises and other social engineering losses
- First party claims for extortion, ransomware or network insecurity, including negotiating ransomware payments and addressing complex business interruption valuation issues
- Individual and class action litigation under common law or statutes to protect personal information (including BIPA, CCPA, CMIA and the PPPA) and related investigations and litigation by regulators
- Disputes over technology services
- Media liability claims including copyright infringement and defamation
