Biography
Tae Young Lee has represented both foreign and domestic insurance companies, Lloyd’s of London syndicates, managing general agents and cover holders for a broad spectrum of insurance coverage policy work, with his primary focus on cyber, privacy, media & technology, and directors & officers lines of coverage. He has served as coverage counsel with respect to complex insurance coverage matters for first and third-party claims involving security and privacy breaches, business interruption and data loss, errors and omissions liability, media liability, security and privacy related liability, corporate governance, securities class actions, and derivative lawsuits.
Tae frequently is counsel to insurer clients with respect to coverage issues arising out of the ever-evolving privacy law landscape, which has had a material impact on the business of cyber insurers, including losses arising from class action lawsuits relative to the Illinois Biometric Information and Privacy Act (BIPA), Michigan’s Preservation of Personal Privacy Act (PPPA), and liability posed by nationwide companies’ use of Meta-Pixel on their websites.
